I am still alive, I think. Writing on the blog was something I looked forward to every night and its not like I don't enjoy it anymore. Its just that the information is somewhat irrelevant on a blog about running and music. Perhaps the blog needs revamping. Running will still be a core focus but cycling has become the sport of choice these days. Music is always present, it never hurts, and only offers happiness. A lot has happened in the last month and continues to happen today. Change is inevitable and can be very positive if the happiness is real. Problems follow but fortunately so does joy. I am feeling the joy again and coming to terms with not being able to run anymore. So new days and a better outlook moving forward.
Peace and Love

still alive and following the blogging. wihout it my musical tastes *almost* resort to pop-country.
ReplyDeleteChange is the only inevitable thing. Adaptability is perhaps the greatest character quality we can cultivate. It allows us to forgive others who don't meet our expectations and, more important, it allows us to forgive ourselves when we don't measure up.
ReplyDeleteI love that you are embracing cycling, but also retaining your love of music and running, even though your best running days appear behind you. Life can be full to the rim of our glasses if we let it. When I was in the sixth grade my teacher told me not to spend too much time looking down for I might miss the beautiful sky, and not to spend too much time staring only up, I might miss the flower at my feet. He said, "groove on the step you are now taking." Be present. And squeeze every fucking ounce of experience out of every moment.
Be well Keefer. Peace.
